My cat was neutered this morning at this clinic and the service was over the top! I’ve been to this location a handful of times for regular vaccines and such. So much great information and very realistic and reasonable pricing. They provide updates and are accommodating as well. I have loved every interaction I’ve had with every single member of the staff. whether it be the front desk, vets, technicians, etc. Highly recommend!!!!!! After Rico’s surgery they even sent me home with not one, but TWO of their toys because my cat loved them so much!!!! Very knowledgeable and brilliant crew at Urban Animal. Thank you guys so much!
Everyone has always been so amazing to work with! The entire staff has always shown love and care for our pets. The responses from the vet are prompt, succinct, and friendly. We continue to come back here with our pets, despite moving to Tacoma. Five stars!
Love this place and the walk in service. They’re really nice and this is the only place I trust taking my cat to. They are a bit pricey but my cat is worth the world.
I am very disappointed. I scheduled my fur baby an appointment for this Friday at 5:30. I am traveling from Bremerton so I have to take the ferry into town. I received a call this morning and was quick to return the call. At that time I thought that everything was taken care of the misunderstanding about why my fur baby needed to be seen was cleared up. At 4:00 p.m. I receive a call telling me that it was my fault for not properly reading my instructions. When I called I confirmed stated the reason why my fur baby was being seen. I am so disappointed and the way that I was spoke to taking a day off of work having to purchase a fairy ticket. Very disappointed. From the call this morning it seemed as if the mail tech didn't want to see my fur baby from the beginning and when I called and restated why he needed to see a tech and not a doctor. The guy on the phone confirmed that it was okay to bring my dog in and for the tech to call and be so disrespectful on the phone is just mind-blowing to me....
Just found out the appointment based service is more expensive than walk-in service.
I don't know why I have to figure it myself, no one ever told me about it.
I have been there for three years and really like the service, so give a 3-star here.
However, I do not understand why appointment based should be much more expensive. The exactly service is 120 at Capital hill(Walk-in), but 200 at downtown. They told me because I save the time, but isn't that the reason for appointment for arrange my time earlier? If it is unplanned, or urgent, Walk-in means you have to wait for hours and that make sense. Or If I pay more, you let me skip the line, I am OK with that either. But it is an appointment, I still need wait for a week, I just never see a place charge more for an early appointment.
Super friendly staff. Excellent care. Loved that they are Walk In Only service and post their clinic wait times on their website.
My puppy tore his toe and needed stitches. I called 5 veterinary clinics/hospitals, including two we use regularly, most were full, one could see him in 6+ hours, before making the trek to Urban Animal. We were lucky, there was no wait, and my puppy was seen immediately. Prices are in line with regular vet care in Seattle, I didn't feel there was additional mark up for "urgent" or "emergency," which I appreciated. They are worth the drive downtown!
Bonus: their decor is adorable!
First time at this clinic. My dogs original clinic was booked out for a couple of weeks and my dog needed to be seen due to his tail having an infection. I was referred to them by my veterinarian and called and they said I could bring my dog in and it was a first come first serve basis. I arrived and didn't wait for all that long till we were able to see the veterinarian. She was very professional and gave me information about how to Keep my dog more healthy. She was very professional and kind. She even emailed me some information to see if my dog has allergies. Very friendly and a smile to brighten up the room. Thank you Urban Animal! My dog's infection went away with the medicine they provided. Will definitely bring my dog back if I need too!
The walk in method they use at this clinic was honestly pretty stressful. I came here because of the great reviews and heard a lot of people recommended it because it was convenient. I found it to be extremely inconvenient. I was waiting in the waiting room for about three hours. This was after I had already driven to the white center location and they told me their wait time was 5-6 hours. There is no separate waiting room for cats/dogs, so there were dogs barking and it really stressed my already scared cat out.
The parking situation at this location is also really hit or miss. The first time I came here, there were a few open spaces but the second time I showed up, all the spots were taken. I had already spent an hour trying to get my cat in her carrier, and then drove 30 minutes to get there, and then when I showed up and saw that there were no parking spots, I felt sooo defeated. I think there's about 4 parking spots for the whole clinic...so they can fill up quickly.
By the time I left the clinic, I think I had been there for almost five hours. I was exhausted. The positives are that the vet and vet tech were very sweet and kind with my scared/sick kitty. They treated us with respect but I really don't think the long wait times are worth it when I could just go to another vet. I also didn't really find their prices to be affordable when they advertise to be an "affordable" vet. The parking at the white center location is a LOT easier but the wait times will likely keep me from coming back.
